First Aid Kit - Stay Gold
First Aid Kit, my favorite band, has done it again. Their new album Stay Gold will be released in just a few days, on the 10th of June, but you can already listen to it on Spotify. I have - over and over again. The singles My Silver Lining and Cedar Lane left me wanting more and now I can say that the rest of the album sure met my expectations with flying colors. I'm absolutely in love. For the past days the album has been on repeat for hours and hours on my Spotify - I can't stop listening!
My favorite songs? It's really, really hard to say as all the songs are great, but I must say that My Silver Lining is one of the best on the album. Of course, this is not a surprise as I've heard the song playing everywhere for the last couple of weeks - so it's had it's time to really dig into my heart. Another song I'm head over heels with is the song the album got its name from - Stay Gold. I reckon this will be the bands next big hit.
The Bell is another amazing song, as are Fleeting One and A Long Time Ago (ok, I'm starting to list all the songs now, haha). love the true country feeling of Heaven Knows, but I'm must say that my number one favorite song from this album (at least at this moment) is Shattered & Hallow. From the moment I heard those first notes of Klara's beautiful voice I knew I would love this song.Another thing I absolutely love about this album is that Johanna has more solos than in previous albums. Her voice is truly amazing! I also really like how the lyrics feel so honest - I believe them. Unlike some of First Aid Kit's previous songs, these songs stay true to two 20-something year old girls. I adore these girls and they truly make me a proud Swede!
